Four Seasons Hotel Seattle Review

It’s unusual for me to walk to a hotel but, thanks to Seattle’s brand new light-rail system, which transported me from the Seattle-Tacoma Airport to downtown Seattle in 37 minutes for $2.50, I was able to have a pleasurable walk past the Pike Place Market area enjoying unusually, for a mid-February day in Seattle, warm (15°C/59°F) and sunny weather.  The new Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, opened in late 2008, is almost directly on the bay and built in a U shape, which means that 80% of the guest rooms have …

Bayerischer Hof Lindau Review

The historic city of Lindau is located on a small (0.68-square-kilometer/0.26-square-mile) island in the Bodensee, or Lake Constance, and is connected to the mainland by a causeway and railway.  The Bayerischer Hof, prominently located on the promenade facing the lake, is close to the epicenter of activity in this medieval city.

Siemens Gigaset One

It is estimated that 25% of U.S. households have cut the cord and abandoned their landlines, relying entirely on mobile phone.  Many people, however, like the convenience of an old-fashioned desk or wall phone.  In a case of “you can indeed have your cake and eat it too,” the Siemens Gigaset One mates mobile phones with the legacy wiring in your home.  If you still have a home phone line, the Gigaset One merges home and mobile phones together.
The Gigaset One can be used in either of two configurations.  If …

Cadillac CTS-V Review

For well over a decade, Cadillac has been an afterthought for many luxury car buyers in the market it helped create since its founding in 1902.
The new Cadillac CTS-V harkens back to the company’s reputation for luxury and precision engineering. Eight years ago Cadillac introduced the Cadillac CTS, the first car to bear its razor sharp “Art and Science” design language, to great acclaim
The CTS-V is the second generation of that concept (a completely new CTS was introduced for model year 2008) and executes so well on this concept …

Winter Storm Tech and Travel Tips

Weather forecasters are calling for a “snow hurricane” in many parts of the United States and business travelers need to take certain precautions, be they on the road and heading home or heading out on a trip.
Pack for the duration.  Be it for trains, planes, or automobiles, weather delays can spiral out of control and can even impact areas of the country where it’s sunny and warm.  Take enough clothing and medication for a few extra days, just in case.
Keep your devices charged. Power outages are common and …
