WhereverTV Receiver

1 December 2008 One Comment

Bored by the 500+ channels supplied by your cable box?  The WhereverTV Receiver opens your TV up to thousands of live international television channels without the need for a PC.  01_transparentThe receiver works with any standard TV and is simple to install: Ethernet cable (for Internet) in and RCA composite video cable (connects to the TV) out.  It even comes with a remote control.

Once the TV is on, you can choose from live programming in more than 40 languages from more then 100 countries.  The on-screen image varies based on Internet connection speed and other factors but is still good enough to watch comfortably.  There are no monthly subscription fees (the box itself costs $199) and you can create your own program guide (displayed on screen) and add channels via a Web browser at any time.  It’s the perfect gift for the business traveler who wants to keep current on news and culture in countries he regularly visits.

You can take it with you on trips as well – the tiny receiver weighs only six ounces.  I liked it so much after using it for several weeks that I can’t imagine watching TV without it.
